A: It was built so that islanders who were experiencing health changes or limitations could remain in their own community rather than having to move to the mainland.

A: Not only residents, but many others call Hamlet House home, including aging parents who move to the island to be near their adult children and grandchildren.
Q: What about eligibility criteria?
A: Individual care needs vary widely. Washington State and Hamlet House admission guidelines, plus your own physician’s report, help us determine if Hamlet House is right for you.
Q: How does Hamlet House price compare to off-island rates?
A: Actually, our rates are equal to or less than most adult family homes. Ask to see our price comparison sheet. You will be pleasantly surprised!
