Amazon.com has a simple, automatic way for you to support The Hamlet every time you shop, at no cost to you. It’s a nifty little program: they donate a percentage of your purchase price to the non-profit of your choice, which we hope is The Hamlet!
Not a cent comes out of your pocket, and Amazon gets the P.R. for being a “good neighbor.” We know islanders make substantial purchases on Amazon, so your participation will make a difference.
The program is called Amazon Smile and sign up is absolutely simple.
1. Go to smile.amazon.com (add a bookmark to make it easy to remember.) The link will automatically ask you if you want to make LOHO your selected charity.
2. OR Search for LOHO (our parent organization), then select LOHO again on the menu. Amazon will remember your selection so every purchase will result in a LOHO donation.
3. That’s it, done! Your shopping cart, Wish List, wedding or baby registry, and other account settings all stay the same. Every time you shop at smile.amazon.com, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price out of their pocket to The Hamlet.
